IISUE UNAM<\/a>, la autonom\u00eda no es un cheque en blanco, sino una responsabilidad institucional que permite la libertad de c\u00e1tedra y la autogesti\u00f3n frente a los vaivenes pol\u00edticos. Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa realmente este concepto fuera de los muros de Ciudad Universitaria?<\/p>\nLa Autonom\u00eda como pilar de la gesti\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica<\/h2>\n
La autonom\u00eda universitaria, consolidada el 26 de julio de 1929 y blindada hoy por el Art\u00edculo Tercero constitucional, dota a la instituci\u00f3n de una soberan\u00eda t\u00e9cnica poco com\u00fan en el sector p\u00fablico. Esto permite que la universidad decida sus propios caminos acad\u00e9micos: desde la innovaci\u00f3n en sus 134 carreras hasta el complejo proceso de designaci\u00f3n de autoridades. Como bien se\u00f1ala Gabriela de la Cruz Flores, la autonom\u00eda es un compromiso \u00e9tico con la sociedad, donde la libertad de pensamiento se convierte en el motor para responder a los desaf\u00edos tecnol\u00f3gicos y sociales del futuro sin depender de ciclos gubernamentales sexenales.<\/p>\n
La Realidad Escolar: El contraste en el sistema educativo mexicano<\/h2>\n
Al contrastar esta visi\u00f3n de \u00abblindaje institucional\u00bb con la realidad que viven miles de docentes y directivos en el resto del sistema educativo nacional, surge una disonancia evidente. Mientras la autonom\u00eda permite a la UNAM gestionar su propia vida normativa, la mayor\u00eda de los docentes en M\u00e9xico se enfrentan a una centralizaci\u00f3n administrativa asfixiante, donde la innovaci\u00f3n pedag\u00f3gica suele verse limitada por lineamientos r\u00edgidos, programas de estudio impuestos y una burocracia que prioriza la rendici\u00f3n de cuentas administrativa sobre la libertad de c\u00e1tedra.<\/p>\n
\u00bfEs posible hablar de calidad educativa y adaptabilidad social cuando el resto del sistema carece de la capacidad de autogesti\u00f3n que posee la universidad aut\u00f3noma? Para un maestro frente a grupo, la autonom\u00eda a menudo se siente como un concepto lejano, opacado por la urgencia de cumplir con cargas administrativas que poco tienen que ver con el pensamiento cr\u00edtico o la innovaci\u00f3n docente. La autonom\u00eda de la UNAM, lejos de ser un privilegio envidiable, deber\u00eda servir como el faro que demuestre que, cuando las instituciones educativas tienen margen de maniobra, la sociedad obtiene mejores resultados; sin embargo, en nuestro pa\u00eds, este estatus parece ser una excepci\u00f3n en lugar de una meta aspiracional para todo el sistema p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n
